Fountain (2021) 3.5 x 7 x 7 meter

Large-scale sculptural installation made with deflated collapsed inflatable objects. For the exhibition “A soft gentle Breeze“ at Villa Les Zéphyrs in Westende, Belgium – June 2021.

We launched an appeal to the local community to donate abandoned inflatables and collected more than 800 pieces in all shapes and colours: new, straight-out-of-the-box objects, freshly folded, smelling of fresh plastic; leaky, used, semi-mouldy air mattresses, rubber boats, beach balls and armbands rescued from garden sheds, cellars and attics.
