Installation of floating safety cones in the East River in New York City for the Dumbo Art Center's Festival, in Brooklyn, NY - Fall 2007.
The Piso Mojado piece functions as an “open” work with no specific meaning imposed. This allows the interpretation of the work to change with it’s content, which is fluid and changes with time, context and audience.
The bobbing bright yellow safety cone, floating on New York City’s East River, was seen as the city’s first line of defense against costly slip and fall injuries.
